I rented 3 rooms for 3 night none of them were together. I reported 2 nights in a row that the air in the room I was in did not cool. There was large water bugs (2) in my room. The room had a musty smell. There was some sort of black tarry substance that got on suitcase and was on bed comforter does not come off. One of the rooms was not near ready at check-in the floors in the other 2 hadn’t been cleaned. I understand it’s on the beach but to have dirt and candy wrappers in corner of room is a give away! Laundry area was filthy vending machine for detergent was empty and lying in floor not even a trash bin. I gave desk clerk my tax exempt form and was told he could not take it since I booked on line. For $2700 one would think parking would be free. Instead it was another $130. Definitely not Wyndham standards!

Front desk staff ms yoke-lye has been wonderful and provided us with items we needed for our extended stay. Hotel is AMAZING. My only complaint is the cleaning staff never came to do our room when requested multiple times.

Check in process was poor at best. I received my confirmation and was sent a link to “pre” check in where I provided all of the info requested to include a copy of my drivers license, credi card info and pre paid for my parking. When I arrived, there was a line of about 10 ppl but no separate line for those of us that at done “pre-check-in”. When I did finally get on the front of line (about 20 minute wait), I was informed my room was not yet checked by the maid supervisor so they could not let me have the keys. I was informed I would receive a call when my room was ready. I walked over the outdoor bar and waited…and waited…and waited for well over an hour. Keep in mind all of my luggage is sitting on a cart in the middle of your lobby a there was no bell service or a place to store my things while I waited for my room! After and hour and a half, I went back to lobby where…you guessed it, I stood in line again for about 20 minutes. The gentleman was very apologetic and said “the other guy went home and I didn’t know you were waiting for a call” and then offered to comp my parking…but I had already paid for it on your link so he offered “very late check-out” . I get to my room and find water all over the floor that I can only assume was from the mini fridge. I then try to step out onto the “ocean facing w/balcony” that I paid extra for, only to discover that I can get the door open! After about 10 minutes of trying…I finally was able to get it unstuck! The door was so heavy that slams shut behind me and causing a second of panic that I may be stuck out there! Alas…I was able to get back inside my room. unloaded all of my things, hopped in the shower to discover that the shower gel container is empty! Luckily, I was able to fish out a bar of soap from my toiletry bag. Now I am looking for room service menu or at least a copy of the menu for your bar or main dining room. I did find your collateral but no menu. Called the front desk and was told you don’t offer room service but I could order it to go. I would but I don’t k ow what my choices are so I surrender to the Pizza Hut delivery and Uber Eats for evening meal. This morning I awaken in hopes of a nice cup of coffee as I watch the sunrise on my balcony…no pods for the coffee maker…to be fair there was a tea pod but this isn’t England. I quickly dress and go down to the lobby and grab a cup from the coffee bar…1 container of coffee, a stack of paper cups and a basket filled with sweeteners so hardly a “coffee bar. The coffee was almost clear and tasted like hot water. I decide to abandon the hotel and head out in search of coffee and to enjoy the beach. When I return, I’m now looking for a place to rinse the sand off my feet. II finally found it but when I tell you it smelled like sewage under the dripping grate under my feet…I’m being conservative. There was a huge disposal bin positioned there as well, literally overflowing with dirty dishes with food stuck on them, bar glasses with the leftovers of fruity cocktails and dying whipped cream as well as countless beer cans. I quickly decide that this must not be where the guests are supposed to be to rinse off the sand and decide to try the gate for the pool area. It was locked. The furniture around the pool and bar area are extremely worn and in disrepair and not sure they would have withstood my 112lb body! Pool was disgustingly filthy with brown water. Now I’m starting to wonder what I’ve gotten myself into as this was in no way the “resort” experience I was expecting! I decide to walk to the hotel dining room where a nice young man let me know that my only choice was the buffet but he was going to serve me. Out of bacon, out of graveyard, no fresh salsa, no grated cheese, no tortillas (this is TX…come on man). I had stayed at Staybridge suite the night before…positioned along the HWY at held the price and double the breakfast buffet options and I was able to get what I wanted! Disgrace. I am then told I can not bill it back to my room?! Wait…what? Luckily I had grabbed my credit card. I then do the front desk to ask for coffee pods and shower gel. She said “no one would be here until 10am and they can get get brought up…y’all iIts 8:15am! She also let me know that the eating establishments ad well as the pool areas are actually not even part of the hotel even though they are coined as “our” in all of the hotel collateral. She said that the pool did open until 10am which seems of for a family friendly resort and want it noted that this info is not posted anywhere! I then asked if I could speak to a manager. I am not this sort of guest but have now been pushed to my limit of patience! I was told she would not be here until 10am even if she was coming in at all today due to some personal reasons”. Me: So there’s no one acting as a manager on duty? She responded “I guess it’s me and I can take down your concerns”….she didn’t write down a single word I said…not one. I then reminded her that I would be taking advantage of my “extra late check out” and could she confirm the time. She then commenced to tell me “oh no ma’am, that is not possible today as we have sold your room and they are requesting early check-in”! When I say I literally laughed out loud, looked at her and said, I will not be leaving that room until later today and I would be letting her know when that would be. According to the policy I just read in your collateral that could be as late at 5pm. Needless to say this has not been the relaxing respite I was hoping for or expected from Wyndham and I dare say no one from your company would be proud to have this community as part of your portfolio. Do better!

Breakfast was inadequate . Coffee was colored water, service was good. Sausage bad. 4$ for a cup of bad oj?
Pool was closed on Memorial Day. Not nice. Outdoor furniture was torn up , broken and disgusting. Outside bar was good. Our room a window leaked ( we told you about it)
Is that enough? Really? Nothing like any Wyndham I have ever stayed at before.

Terrible experience. Hotel was dirty and pool furniture was falling apart. Hotel staff was unhelpful and rude. They ran out toilet paper and we had to go purchase our own. Housekeeping did not come by to clean our room once during our 5 night stay. The pool was closed without warning. We have not had a bad experience like this at a hotel in a long time. Do not recommend staying here.

Dirty, bathroom flooded when taking a shower, caked dirt in corners everywhere in hotel. Deck out front broken and a HUGE danger to anyone walking on it. Outside bar was dirty and you couldn’t sit anywhere because your butt would be dirty. Sticky tables, toilets didn’t flush. Not worth the money. The pool was filthy and hazy couldn’t even use it. No chairs to sit in everything was broken and seat cushions were torn. I have pictures but this site doesn’t allow posting of pictures

The wait to check-in was not Wyndham standard. There was no staff available. Also, there was a couple of people here before us. Totally unacceptable for Wyndham Corpus Christi North Shore Padre Island.

The hotel room was great, awesome view (ocean view). The staff was fine. YokeLye was very nice and tried very hard to make the stay great.
We had another guest given our room, and they walked into our room a few hours after we checked in. Almost hitting our daughter with the door when they walked in. The front desk apologized.
The breakfast wasn’t served as stated the first morning was after 8:15, the second not at all. By 8 on the first day, we asked about breakfast, and their employee hadn’t showed up. We were told because of the other guest coming into our room that we could get breakfast across the street. The staff that handled the situation the previous night didn’t tell us like they were suppose to.
Someone was smoking on the balcony above our room and the smoke kept coming into our room. The front desk went and talked to them, but they still did it later that night.
The hot tub with an ocean view is broken, which is one of the reasons we selected this hotel.
The room was nice and clean, the view amazing. The situations that happened would not deter us from staying again, they can just be improved upon.

This place is so bad that I don’t know where to begin. The hot tub is broken (that’s the reason we chose the place), the bathroom door in our room doesn’t lock properly, elevators are filthy, breakfast we all out an hour after it opened (no waffle batter, no coffee, most of the “pastries” were gone), no towels at the pool. I can’t believe this place is allowed to carry the Wyndham name!

Hot tub was broken. Half the pool chairs were broken. Breakfast was $28 for 2 people RIDICULOUS powdered eggs and usual free buffet stuff. Staff had no idea how to print anything. Sent me to the Holiday Inn across the street. Which they are NOT affiliated with (said they were) Holiday Inn said I wasn't the 1st 1 they sent over. Wanted a Ocen view was told none available. Clearly we saw one empty the whole time we were there. Never stay there again

Waited on room to be ready after such a horrible experience and ask for pool towels and they had tar all over them . Such a disappointment. Manager did not appear to care either way. We were told that our parking would be free and come to find out the manager stated it wo ost me 15.00 if I was going to park on property.

Had requested an early check-in arrived at 1 o’clock the manager Stated that she would check on her early check-in. She said that we could change in their bathrooms. Their bathrooms were both out of order succeeded to say that we could use the bathrooms outside and that they had air condition. The bathrooms outside did not have air condition came back inside at 2:39 asked if there was any notice if there was early check-in she said no.

First we attempted to call for a solid 2 hours and kept being put on hold; just to time out and be disconnected. When we arrived at the hotel we were not informed but had to ask after seeing signs that we had to pay for parking. This was not disclosed when reservations were made and paid for. There was food on the floor in our room along with candy wrappers. There were only a couple of employees at the front desk that actually took the time to help us with a situation. We never received bracelets for the pool, constantly had to avoid urine in the elevator since we could never locate anyone at the front desk to inform them and nobody answers the phone.

Unsatisfactory hotel stay, issues with TV, bathroom toilet, bathroom outlet not functioning , shower curtain stain and not appealing to sight, made us question the rest of the room. Hotel itself was in a dilapidated state, hot tub not working and has not been for sometime, many eye soars throughout the hotel. I chose this because it was a resort stay however could have chosen a cheaper hotel for better accommodation and saved money.

Upon arrival I was told that the parking policy has changed within the past two weeks and is no longer included. I was unaware of this because the email I received 4 days ago stated that parking was included for one vehicle. Manager Iliana declined any accommodation for this discrepancy. It is the principle. I will no longer be staying here. I have come to this location for many many years, albeit under different business names over the years, and to come now and see this is very surprising. Very disappointed.

Last year when we stayed we had free parking with our stay and this year we paid over $1000 for a six day stay then I went to register my car for parking and it wanted me to pay $60 to be able to pay for parking to park in the hotel in which I already paid for which is very frustrating and wasn’t stated in booking my stay. The front desk receptionist YokeLye was super helpful and understood my frustration and showed me the public parking in the street which was free and she was super helpful and insured me it was safe. So on the bright side she was super helpful and understanding.

Rooms are dirty, the renovations in the room were cheap and messy, iron was broken, card lock access was broken, hair dryer didn't have a metal mesh filter, hair was in the bathroom.

Yoke was great working the front desk and very attentive to the occupants in the hotel. She even checked on me after arriving to my room.
On the other hand the manager and supervisor aren’t. I called the morning of check in regarding early checkin and I was told that the earliest I would be able to check in at 1100. I arrived at noon and was told by the manager that she wasn’t sure why I was told that and that my room wasn’t ready they would call when ready. I called at 2pm when I still hadn’t heard anything and was told it still wasn’t ready by the manager and that it wouldn’t be ready until 4pm which is checkin.. she said she couldn’t ask housekeeping to change there cleaning practices and routine. The manager called me shortly after hanging up and offered me a double queen room that was ready or offered to cancel my reservation and refund me since I was unhappy with my experience. What great customer service coming from the manager of Wyndham. Way to meet the customers needs and concerns.

Poor Yokelye is working the front desk all by herself. This hotel needs to hire more workers to help support their current staff. Do better Wyndham. Help your employees who in turn help the guests. Yokelye is holding the whole place up herself, she deserves 5 stars.

Room needed deep cleaning, painting and upholstery cleaning. Strange bathroom layout with little counter space. Bed was good. View was good. Patio furniture rusted. Hall carpet very dirty and stained. Front desk staff friendly and helpful. Housekeeping staff very friendly. I realize it is difficult to keep a pool clean, but not noticeably vacuumed while we were there for 4 days.

Check is at four PM and I arrived at four PM and was told it would be five minutes and the room would be ready. It was not ready until six PM. I asked the front desk three times when it would be ready and all they could say is we are not sure. I was told they talked to the staff about getting my rooms ready first. When I came to check on my room one hour and ten minutes since I was told fit would be ready in five minutes the staff said they did not know we were waiting on the rooms. They then started my rooms and where done with both of them in forty five minutes. No manager around to talk to me or the other customers that had the same issue. The kitchen only has one employee and the food took about an hour to get to me. I only ordered a personal pepperoni pizza. Everything you ask a question it's we only have one staff member or we are not sure. The carpets are dirty in the hallways. I went on vacation and felt the hotel did not hold up to what they advertise.

We checked out a day early as we were incredibly displeased with this “resort”. I personally wouldn’t call it a resort, it’s barely a hotel.. the carpet in the hallways are disgusting, you have to hold the lever down for a complete flush, the sink water goes all over the counter, and that’s just some of the issues. We tried to eat breakfast in the restaurant but there was only one waitress and the guests in the dining room suggested we go somewhere else as it was taking forever. The hot tub and outdoor restrooms are out of order, the store and bars were closed. The location is great but we won’t be back

Pluses... Front desk both Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning were extremely polite and professional. I booked a 2 queen, Oceanview balcony room, I got that. I wanted beach access, got that. Free parking. Bed was comfy. Plenty of pillows. Plenty of towels.
Minuses....maybe my expectations for a Wyndham
property was too high. I already knew the elevators we questionable. The hotel needs a good cleaning. I was surprised to see dropped paint on the interesting light fixture in the hallway. The carpets in the hallways are nasty. The room was, as previously stated, what I requested. The interior is worn. The toilet paper holder was barely starched to the wall. The enamel in the tub as broken and paint splattered inside the tub. The sheets on the beds were stained. Noticeably stained. The blanket on one bed had large yellow stains on it. Rather nasty since these were not noticed until the morning in the light of day. Room was not * resort* quality. I showed pictures to the young woman at the desk at checkout.

We stayed at this hotel las year before the “renovations.” We had such a great time we decided to stay again. This time however, our room and hallway were hot because the ac wasn’t working properly. The only area in the whole hotel that was cool was the lobby area. The young lady who checked us in had her AirPods in and was a having a whole conversation with someone else while checking us in. Our towels and room were not properly cleaned but I think that’s the lack of staffing. They only had 1 or 2 cleaning staff on our floor everyday we were there. I don’t think we will be returning next year if the hotel’s management doesn’t improves its conditions.

I came down to relaxe for my birthday.When I arrived I was happy the lady at the front desk was very nice. Saturday was great until I was stuck in the elevator and the manager thought it was funny and never said he was sorry that it even happy. I also ask if he was going to have football on the big tv he said he dont watch football. None of the elevators worked well very slow again the Manager had no customer service skills. I will say house keeping was very good.

Your front coffee center needs to have a full coffee service. You have liquid cream in your kitchen. Supply it in your front greeting area. You are on the beach. People like to watch the sunrise with real coffee.
The bathroom had low water pressure. Other than these two things it was a good stay

What an underwhelming resort experience. The staff was less then pleasant, the resort itself was almost falling apart, the pool was disgusting and the public restrooms were a mess. Going on vacation should be easy, we had cockroaches in our room, had to continually ask for water which should be readily available, The elevators nearly crush you every time you walk through them and they feel as if they will break at any given moment.
This experience was awful, and we will not be staying here again, the location is ideal but the cleanliness and friendliness is awful.
We were charged a pet fee when we didn’t bring a pet, and when we told the manager about the cockroaches in our room we were refunded our resort fee and given a room that was a lesser view so we ended up declining.
I would not recommend.

I felt like the advertisement for this hotel was a bait and switch. The actual property is much more worn. Dirty, and understaffed (especially with anyone knowledgeable). We paid over $300/night. Then had to pay $60/day for beach rentals from a private service on the beach. For that much money I have stayed at full service resorts with better service and amenities. This hotel offers nothing special other than a public beach front (which is crowded with trucks and tents from locals after 10am, blaring music. The pool is dirty and small and has a light that is shorting out and flickers like a strobe all night. The rooms are dingy and smelly. Shower curtains have mold/mildew on them. Tubs and sinks don’t drain. I had to ask the front desk everyday for enough towels for my family to shower 1x, and was always questioned if I actually needed them. When I did receive them they smelled of vomit. The gym has zero equipment and was closed for “renovations” a day after we checked in. We saw giant roaches crawling on the floor in the ladies bathroom, the restaurant, and the main lobby. The floor of the lobby is always wet and slippery. The front desk staff has zero customer service training, and there is always a line of people waiting for something or complaining. We were cramped in our room and when my husband arrived a day late we decided to add tue additional adjoining room. We were charged and told to check in to the additional room after 3pm. When we came back to check in after dinner around 10pm, we were told they had no record of the additional reservation (my credit card had a record of the charge however) and there was now someone in the room. Just a “sorry” and a shoulder shrug. So we go on to hope we get a refund (and hope we don’t bring any of the stink or whatever might have been lurking in the crevices of that disgusting place home with us). I hope to save someone the same experience. This hotel lacks amenities, class, & service. Plus I’m pretty sure my son got sick off of tue shrimp tacos in the restaurant. Easily the worst hotel experience of my life.

The door to our patio was very difficult to open, and close even after someone came to fix it. Also the out side of the door was very dirty. We asked to have it cleaned but no one showed up to clean it. Most of the dirt would wipe off and get on clothing. Very disappointed with this beach front room. Staff was nice. Elevators were out of order many times, and felt unsafe. Walls and ceiling's through out the hotel showed damage and disrepair. My rating is a 2 for this hotel. But the form does not show numbers. Never again.. staying here

When I made the reservation on the hotel website ot was advertised breakfast buffet was available. Once in the hotel personel informed that they don't do any more. Sent email asking for reimbursement, whick I never got.
